Phlebectomy

Phlebectomy is a safe, minimally invasive method for surgically removing surface varicose veins.

The procedure begins by “mapping” the vein and injecting anesthesia along the segment of vein to be removed. The vein is then carefully removed through a small incision (usually less than one millimeter). Because the affected vein is completely removed, visible improvement is immediate, and recurrence is unlikely. Most patients resume normal activities the next day.
